✨ What's New
- Free 10-day Pro trial. New installs automatically start with a 10-day AirClip Pro trial, with no registration, account, or payment required. All Pro features are available immediately. The Mini Deck and tray menu show
AirClip Trial while the trial is active, with a reminder when three days or fewer remain. You can upgrade to a full Pro license at any time before or after the trial, and AirClip automatically returns to Free mode when the trial ends.
- Stream URL support for DVR schedules. Add a Stream URL to a One-Shot or Auto schedule and AirClip can open the page automatically when the scheduled recording begins. This is useful for web-based shows, live streams, and other browser audio sources you want AirClip to capture at a set time.
- Dedicated AirClip browser session. Scheduled stream pages now open in a separate AirClip-managed Chromium browser profile instead of reusing your normal browser session. This keeps AirClip's recording browser predictable and avoids conflicts with tabs, extensions, sign-ins, or command-line settings from an existing browser window.
- Play button detection for stream pages. The schedule editor now includes a Detect workflow for Stream URLs. AirClip can inspect the page, look for autoplay support, and help identify a play button selector when the stream needs a click before audio starts. Detect requires a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Brave; Firefox users should use a direct stream URL or the manual fallback in the User Guide.
- Optional browser close after recording. DVR schedules can now close the AirClip-managed browser window when the recording stops, keeping unattended recordings tidy.
- One-Shot duration limit. One-Shot DVR schedules can now use Duration as a maximum recording length. If silence detection never stops the recording, AirClip stops it at the configured duration instead.
🚀 Improvements
- Better handling for streams that do not autoplay. If Detect finds that a page does not autoplay, AirClip can show likely play-button choices directly in the schedule editor. If no usable choice is found, AirClip can prepare an optional support email with the stream URL and detection result so support can review the page. Nothing is sent automatically.
- More reliable scheduled stream startup. Stream recordings now use AirClip's own browser settings each time they start, including autoplay support and first-run suppression, so scheduled jobs are less dependent on the state of your everyday browser.
- Clearer schedule-skip notifications. If a scheduled DVR recording cannot start because AirClip is already recording or armed, AirClip now shows a warning notification with the schedule name and current recording state. Previously this condition was only written to the log.
🔧 Fixed
- Mini Deck timer accuracy. Opening the Mini Deck during an active recording now shows the true elapsed recording time instead of resetting the display to
00:00.0.
📝 Notes
Stream URL recording is designed for browser-based audio sources. Some websites may still require sign-in, region access, a custom play-button selector, or other page-specific handling before audio can start.
Firefox limitation for Detect. Detect requires a Chromium-based default browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Brave. Firefox-family browsers can still open the Stream URL and close the window when recording stops, but AirClip cannot relax autoplay behavior or automate Play button clicks in Firefox. Firefox users should use a direct stream URL, the manual fallback described in the User Guide, or a Chromium-based browser for full stream automation.
The optional "Submit URL to support for analysis" action opens your email client with a prepared message. You review and send it yourself; AirClip does not automatically transmit the URL.
📋 Changed
- New domain: airclippro.com. All in-app links now point to the new AirClip Pro domain. Help > Buy AirClip Pro, Help > Recover License, and Help > User Guide all open pages at
airclippro.com. No action needed — links update automatically with this release.
🔧 Fixed
- Tray menu clipping on scaled displays. The right-click tray menu was cropped or mispositioned on displays set to 125% or higher DPI scaling. The menu now opens at the correct position and full size at any Windows display scale setting.
- Mini Deck position not restored on left-side monitors. In dual-monitor setups where the secondary monitor is to the left of the primary, the Mini Deck was always opening on the primary monitor instead of restoring to its saved position. Position is now correctly saved and restored across all monitor arrangements.
✨ What's New
- Machine-bound Pro license. AirClip Pro licenses are now issued to the specific computer used at checkout. This ensures your license is protected and cannot be used on other machines.
- Easier license import. Three ways to activate after purchase:
- Drag
license.airclip onto the Mini Deck — works from a folder or directly from an email attachment.
- Double-click
license.airclip in File Explorer or on the desktop.
- Help > Import License opens a file picker as before.
- In-app purchase and recovery. Help > Buy AirClip Pro and Help > Recover License both open the correct page with your Machine ID pre-loaded, so the server can issue or re-issue a license bound to this computer.
📝 Notes
If you purchased AirClip Pro on version 1.0.0, your original license was a floating license. Use Help > Recover License to request a replacement license.airclip file bound to this machine.
The license file format has changed from airclip-license.json to license.airclip. Double-clicking a license.airclip file opens AirClip and prompts to import automatically.
✨ What's New
- DVR Scheduler (Pro). Schedule recurring recordings, such as a weekday morning show, and AirClip captures them automatically whether the app is already open or not. Create, edit, duplicate, and enable or disable One-Shot or Auto jobs from the DVR Scheduler window.
- Unified dark theme. AirClip's Mini Deck, tray menu, Settings, DVR Scheduler, schedule editor, About window, and in-app confirmations now share one visual language.
- Menu size preset. Pick Compact, Normal, or Large from Settings > App to scale the tray menu.
- Stereo Mini Deck meters. The Mini Deck's left and right VU bars move independently with the stereo content being recorded. The Voice Level popup shows raw microphone input separately from mix or mute state.
- VB-CABLE setup hint. If Capture mode is set to VB-CABLE and the driver is not installed, the Audio Input tab now shows a download link.
🚀 Improvements
- Snap-Back transitions from buffered audio to live capture more cleanly.
- Auto and One-Shot recordings start more accurately when audio is detected.
- Microphone mute and unmute behavior is more reliable during active recording.
- Settings have been reorganized for clearer audio-input, output, hotkey, and runtime configuration.
📝 Notes
Settings are reset for this first official release because the beta AirClip.ini format changed. After installation, open Settings from the AirClip menu and confirm your preferred audio, output, hotkey, and runtime options.
Log retention maximum is now 365 days.
Cue Recording controls have been removed from the UI because the same workflow is covered by Standard Record plus Pause. Any leftover Cue hotkey in AirClip.ini is cleaned up on the next Settings save.
